Was reinstalling my front diff to the oil pan, and managed to put a(nother) hole in my oil pan -- the kind that leaks.
The curses were flowing like water.
I can get another from EBay for $100 shipped, and in the short term, I can put a regular pan on.
But if anyone has a spare one they'd be willing to let go of for the same or less $, PM me. I'll buy the one from EBay in 24hrs if I don't hear back, as I have to get the Envoy to emissions before EOM.
I may try some JB Weld on it to at least get me to / from the test station and back. What broke was one of the raised bosses that the diff mounting bolts screw into. Sure enough, when I backed out the bolt, the oil started dripping.
The smart money would say that I put a bolt in that was too long. But they'd be wrong, as they're all the same length. At least, that's what I remembered... and measured.
