So it's not a pump but a thermostat housing.
Good thing the truck is not laid up in the meantime and it only takes about 10 minutes to change out the fan clutch.

Who knows what happened. Sometimes dishonest people send back stuff with something else of less value since those that get them back have no clue what they're looking at and stick it back in stock. At least they have a good return policy.
