Spotted in my garage

I saw this truck in my apartment's garage. Since joining this forum I've taken a lot more notice of other peoples' vehicles and what they do to them. What's this guy trying to do? I thought lifting it like that would be for off-roading, but those don't look like the off-road tires I see the guys on this forum using.

I would say he is going for more of a look versus functionality. Big knobby tires are great for off-roading, but can be quite annoying on the highway and rated lower miles versus street tires.

He could just be at a stopping point in his "modding" process! We all know what that's like!! But I see a lot of 6" + kits that have stock wheels and tires! I don't get it really lol

You know the owner is wasting money for looks if you lean over and see it's a 2WD.

But I agree it could be a work in progress. You have to prepare the rest of the suspension before you put the tires on, and I imagine some folks run out of money (or a job) in the middle of the project. Keep watching him.

Some of the most epic threads on forums like pirate4x4 have been started by somebody seeing the beginning of a project, and stalking it. Many times they deteriorate over time. Unfortunately, I can't find a link to the best one at the moment. :frown:

Crap I didn't get alerted you had replied Roadie! That's a good point I'm going to keep an eye on him.

Btw, anyone ever have this happen?

Also I don't get what is going on here with the two different tires:

Looks like they only bought a pair of tires... As long as they are on the same axle they are generally fine.
