Hi Guys,
I just picked up a rattle from the right rear corner.
The Upper Control Arm was replaced last year as were the rear shocks and they are still tight.
The lower Control arm is solid as is the Rear Sway bar connection
I jumped up and down on the bumper but can't make the noise standing still but as soon as I
start down the road L can hear the rattle.

Besides taking it to the repair shop has anybody got another idea what it might be or where to look?

Thanks,
Peter

Check the stabilizer links. Known issue for causing all types of racket.

And with you living up in the PRNY, check the brake backing plate. Might have rusted out.

Also check the spare hoist as well as all the frame and body mounts. As mentioned, living in the rust belt may have turned it all into swiss cheese.

Thanks TK,
The backing plates were replaced because "they weren't even there" !!!
The Links aren't loose but the Left Upper Control Arm looks a little sketchy ???
Could the noise transfer over from the control arm ?

Thanks Moose,
I removed the "spare hoist" because the entire assembly had turned into a solid mass of rust.
Now I carry a couple cans of Fix-A-Flat for emergencies and new tires don't hurt either.

It's quite possible noises travel around or are not where we think they are. How many times I've replaced hubs that weren't even bad because it was the other side.

Those links still look suspect to me.. When were they last replaced?

TK,
Check out the bottom bolt on the shock.
That rust is a different color, like the bolt has been moving around ???

Moose,
I'm gonna change those links along with the shocks and Control Arms.

This can't be right?
Isn't this control arm supposed to be connected to the other end with the bolt through it ?
