Custom Center Console Aligning Pin

Seems like it is a common issue that the plastic aligning pin breaks on the center console lid. Mine broke very quickly after I bought my Trailblazer. My family has had two other trailblazers, both had the aligning pins broke. I tried super gluing mine, didn't hold up of course. So I designed a replacement for it that will not break and is easy to install. I currently build and sell lightbar brackets trailblazers and other gmt360(including extended models), so if anyone is interested I can easily make many more of these replacement aligning pins. Please give me feedback and let me know if you are interested. Feel free to email me at msrobertjr@gmail.com

It is mounted using the two existing screws for the latch. Although I bought longer trim screws to replace the originals to make up for the thickness of the bracket, which I would include in the package. Just thought it worked out really well and someone would be interested. Thanks.

Yes, photos would be nice. Now we need a mod for the hinge assembly... Loosey goosey.

I just took pics of mine but photobucket is down. As soon as it's back up, I'll post them here.

From a post that's 7 years old. I don't have the photo bucket account any more.

And if you want to eliminate the need for the latch, cut off the console lid spring.

Thanks for these photos. I'm a new owner of an old GMC and I'm about to rebuild this lid.
