2015 Canyon back up alarm calibration?

installed a aftermarket ( pollack ) back up alarm 2015 GMC Canyon and when it becomes dark back up larm starts sounding until alarm button pressed on key fob

Do you have perimeter lighting enabled?

You should run it on the reverse switch, not the reverse light wire. If perimeter lighting is in use it will act that way because when it is dark the reverse light is part of the perimeter lighting.
